Distributors & Store Brands

Interlink Commerce runs supplier-side EDI for distributors and store-brand programs. We onboard every manufacturer and packer you buy from, send them your purchase orders, and bring their acknowledgments, ASNs and invoices back into your system, so no one rekeys supplier paperwork. The same managed account also runs your outside warehouses and the retail chains you sell to.

What it does

Supplier-side EDI

Send 850 POs to your manufacturers and packers; receive their 855 acknowledgments, 856 ASNs and 810 invoices.

Warehouse EDI

Send 940 shipping orders to your 3PLs and cold-storage warehouses; receive 945 shipping advice and 944 receipts back.

Retailer-side EDI

Receive 850 and 875 grocery POs and 830/852 forecasts from chains; send compliant 856 ASNs and 810/880 invoices.

One account, every partner

Suppliers, warehouses and retailers managed together, not three vendors and three logins.

Data gaps filled

When a chain sends a PO without pricing or full item data, we fill it from your price lists before it reaches your system.

Onboarding handled

We set up new suppliers, warehouses and retail chains for you, and monitor every document after go-live.

Example: a grocery order through a distributor

  1. 1

    The chain orders

A grocery chain sends an 875 or 850 purchase order for your store-brand item.

  2. 2

    Interlink routes it

The order is validated, enriched, and sent to your system and your warehouse as a 940 shipping order.

  3. 3

    The warehouse ships

Your 3PL ships and returns a 945; Interlink sends the chain its 856 ASN automatically.

  4. 4

    Invoice and restock

The 810/880 invoice goes to the chain, and replenishment POs go out to your supplier.

Distributors & Store Brands FAQ

Do you handle EDI with our suppliers as well as our retail customers?

Yes. Interlink runs both sides: the purchase orders you send to manufacturers and packers, and the orders, ASNs and invoices you exchange with retail chains. Both run on one managed account.

Our product ships from a third-party warehouse. Can you connect it?

Yes. We send 940 warehouse shipping orders to your 3PL or cold-storage provider and turn their 945 shipping advice into the retailer ASN automatically. See also 3PLs & Logistics.

Do you support grocery-specific documents?

Yes, including the 875 grocery purchase order and 880 grocery invoice, alongside standard 850/856/810 and 830/852 planning documents.

We run a store-brand (private-label) program. Is this a fit?

Yes. Store-brand programs typically buy from several packers, warehouse with outside providers and sell to multiple chains, which is exactly the three-way setup Interlink manages.

How is it priced?

The same transparent tiers as every Interlink account. See the pricing page, or book a call for a custom setup plan.
